18 month weigh in...

Well today we went for our 18 month check-up and boy has our boy grown. He weighed in at 29 lbs (90%) is 34.5 inches tall (95%) and "is going to be a strapping boy who needs to play for State, I mean the Eagles" (Dr. Craig finally remembered we are an Eagle family not a BullDawg family).

During our visit (which didn't last long due to Patrick being extremely cranky due to a need for another nap!) Dr. Craig went down the list of what he should be doing...and we got check marks in all departments except for taking clothes off and climbing. Patrick is such a talker and very clear that I think we are going to be OK in the speech department. I asked if he should be climing on top of tables and chairs like most of his friends his age and Dr. Craig said he isn't surprised that Patrick isn't on top of everything due to his size. I guess we should count our blessings.

However, our household has entered the cranky/whiney stage. I am wondering if this is just the tip of the iceberg for the terrible two's!I think his last two bottom teeth are trying to rear their pearly white heads which makes for one fussy little boy! Hope they come in soon!

Thanks for checking in!
Love
LeAnna, Matthew, and Patrick

Such a big boy! Hopefully for you, Patrick will stay grounded instead of joining the climbing ranks.
I think the doctor's first advice was much better! Anytime Patrick wants some maroon and white time, come on up for a visit; Uncle Chuck and Aunt Mae Mae would love it! Uncle Chuck would also love filling Patrick in on how the SEC is so much better than C-USA :)

It's great that Patrick is such a talker. I think Grayson will be too. As far as climbing (what your doctor told you), we shouldn't have to worry about our big boy climbing either! Now about the whiney stage, we aren't there yet...but I know we eventually get there (probably before we are ready)! So, if whineyness usually equals sleepyness, can we whine?! We should be able to...it isn't just for little people huh?! We can do it too - ME FIRST! WAAAAAAA! ;)

Girl, I am AMAZED at the talking that Patrick is doing. I can't imagine how proud you must be!! I just love carrying on a conversation with him when I pick up Wes-man.
