Well on November 8, 2005, we were put on active status while our application to become adoptive parents went to committee for review. Well on Monday we received our letter in the mail saying we were approved. It even had a copy of the cover from our packet showing the word "approved" circled and each committee member's signature. And this time they didn't ask for more $! They also included a list of recommended places to stay in UT in case our child is born there as well as a copy of the paper work we would be signing once our child is placed with us so we can look it over, get familiar, and ask any questions we may have.
So that is some good news.

You don't know me...but I found the link to your blog on Ray and Tish's blog... and just wanted to tell you congratulations on being officially approved! Having just completed our adoption of our little girl, Rachel, this past September, I SO know how exciting it is when you are "official"! The wait is so hard, I know... but no words can describe the joy that is waiting for you when you hold your baby for the first time. Good luck to you both! Oh...and I hope you don't mind if I follow along on your journey!
