Guess it is about time for these...

Here are some pictures taken this weekend. The first is Patrick in the snow. For my birthday Matthew gave me two tickets to see John Mayer in concert this past Friday. He arranged for our friends Chuck & Megan (aka Uncle Charles and Aunt Mae Mae) to babysit while we enjoyed a "date night". In return we took Chuck & Megan out for lunch before heading back home. Well luckily the sun wasn't hitting the front of Chili's so we were able to let Patrick have his first experience with snow! I would say that his clapping is evidence that he liked it!

You might notice that Patrick has some shoes on in this picture...well let me tell you about these shoes....We went to the Stride Rite store on our way out of town. I had been told by another mother in his room at school that they had the Keds canvas shoes on sale and they carried wide widths. So we decided that since we knew our boy had wide feet & since they were on sale we would go and get his feet properly fitted for shoes. Now remember we are only army crawling...no walking, no crawling on all fours, barely pulling up! Well we get there and after getting properly fitted we are told he has EXTRA WIDE feet. Now Keds don't come in extra wide - only narrow, medium, and wide. So much for only spending $15. So since Stride Rite shoes are the only shoes that we know of that come in EXTRA WIDE widths for infants, we sucked it up and bought A PAIR. We settled on brown since that would go with just about everything and they were dressy/casual. The boy has nice taste! So eventhough I swore I would not step foot in that store till he could walk & I would not pay more than $40 for shoes, I ate my words and paid my money. The lady was so kind as to say...see you in 3 months when he outgrows that pair!

Also, the next picture was taken this afternoon. Matthew also gave me the new Cannon Digital Rebel for my birthday. We were playing around this afternoon trying to capture the perfect picture of our little man to submit to Live with Regis & Kelly for the Beautiful Baby Contest (watch Feb. 19th to see if his is a semi-finalist...though he is already a winner is my book!). We submitted this picture in full color, but me being the lover of B&W I decided to post this shot. And yes that is the real color of his eyes!
