Tomorrow is Patrick's 9 Month Birthday! Where has time gone?!?!?
Today we went for our 9 month check up. He weighed in at 22 lbs 8 ozs & is 29 inches tall! (That is the 90 percentile!) Told ya'll he was a big boy! We went over milestones and what to expect over the next three months. We did get some good news...we can begin whole milk! So over the next three weeks we will gradually go from 100% formula to 100% whole milk. So we have hopefully bought our last batch of formula (we stocked up when it was on sale at Wal-mart). Since we started table food about a month and a half ago, he said that we can introduce all meats except for shellfish - sorry Patrick no crawfish for you this year. Our doctor also gave us pointers on how to switch from bottle to sippy cup in a little under a week. We are going to try his technique once we are on 100% whole milk and see what happens.
Tonight we decided to let Patrick feed himself. We ordered some grilled chicken tenders and he ate it up. I also fed him some mashed potatoes. Our doctor said we can let him try feeding himself with a spoon, but I am leary about letting him do this in a restaurant quite yet. We shall see. I do need to invest in some bowls and plates that suction to his tray so he doesn't toss them across the room!
Hope everyone is doing well. We are going home to celebrate my bday and my baby sister's bday this weekend.
Thanks for checking in!

Wow - Mr. Patrick IS a big boy! :) He's going to be six foot before we even get to meet him! ;) Going to whole milk sounds pretty exciting (and a lot cheaper)! I'm sure he'll adjust well. I hope you got some pictures of Patrick feeding himself. If it wasn't a big mess this time, I'm sure it will be eventually (which will make for some awesome pictures)! Happy early birthday to you, old woman! :) Love you!
