Another Milestone...Our Baby is Now a Big Boy...

Being that our future nephew will be arriving soon (February) and Patrick has been sleeping in my sister's crib that she let us borrow after we had to return Patrick's first crib, which my first cousin graciously let us borrow, due to the arrival of a new little cousin Bella....we decided we weren't going to put up another crib and decided to try and transition Patrick to a toddler bed. My aunt let us borrow one she had for her grandkids and our neighbor let us have their crib mattress.

So the game plan was to set up the toddler bed in Patrick's room along with his crib and let him get used to the idea of the whole "big boy bed". We had till December so we felt we had adequate time to transition and not force the issue....

Well last night after our bath and getting our pj's on Patrick wanted to get in his big boy bed. We laid there a few minutes and he just wanted to play. I asked him if he wanted to get into his "baby" bed...he said NO! So I told him that he had to lay down....so I snuck off to the hall way and stood outside his door. In less than 5 minutes this is what I found....

and this is where he stayed all night long!

So we shall see how the rest of the week goes. Patrick's Paw Paw B and Maw Maw G are coming Saturday. If Patrick keeps this up we will be sending the crib home with them so my sister can start preparing for our newest little nephew!
