2 Year Weigh In

Everyone that sees Patrick usually says one or two things - 1) Love those curls.... 2) He sure is a big boy.

Well today was our two year check-up. And statement number 2 above could not be any truer.

Our little 2 year old isn't so little. He weighed 34 lbs and was 36 3/4 inches tall - he is greater than 95th percentile. That means that he weighs more and is taller than over 95% of 2 year old boys.

Now since we don't know a lot about Patrick's birthfather, we always wonder about how tall our son would be. When you have a biological child you have an idea about their frame or statue may be. Well our doctor told us that when he turned 2 that he would be able to provide a pretty good estimate as to how tall our boy will be when he becomes an adult. Dr. Craig says at least 6'2 maybe up to 6'4!!

As for all of the other milestones, we seem to have hit them right on target. The one that we aren't totally on target with - taking off clothes, putting them on. Now Patrick is an expert at taking his shoes and socks off, but that is it. I am not complaining at all because I don't have to worry if he is going to strip in the store. I don't mind helping him get dressed. So if that is the one milestone that we don't get till later, I am perfectly happy.

So that is our two year weigh in - no shots, just one big smile and sticky face and hands (he knows that he gets a sucker when we leave - thank goodness they are sugar free!)
