It has been a while since I have posted...and we have been here, there, and everywhere.
Let's see...we went to visit Maw Maw Kat, Papa, along with Nana, Uncle Russell, Katherine and Baby Ben over Memorial Day weekend. While we were there we got my dad's side of the family together to take pictures for my Grandmother's 80th birthday. It was hot, but the pictures came out well.
Then we came home and relaxed...then off to begin swimming lessons with Ms. Lu! We have gone to 6 out of 8 sessions so far. Patrick loves swimming, and making pop corn with his feet (kicking). He also likes to wear his "fish eyes" (goggles) and loves the water in general. Now our little man is one tough cookie and quite hard headed/strong willed. But I think he met his match with Ms. Lu. She quickly reminded him that in the pool that Ms. Lu is the boss. Once that was established off we began - he put his face in the water and kicked, kicked, kicked till he "bumped" mommy in the tummy. He has learned that when you fall in you swim to the side. If you ask him "where do you go Patrick when you fall in the water?" He will quickly say - "to the side".
Father's day was quite relaxing in our household. Matthew received a recliner for Father's Day and my dad came to visit. We had a nice time and Patrick enjoyed the one on one time with his Paw Paw B.
We are heading to my hometown for my Grandmother's 80th birthday party this weekend...then we are back in town before heading to visit Matthew's brother and family in Dallas for the 4th of July.
In other news, we have decided that it is time for us to renew our homestudy to include Patrick and to begin filling out the mounds of paperwork again for another blessing. We are hoping to have things ready to submit for January. We would like to get things settled with all our home repairs from the tornadoes this past April and get things financially ready for 2009! Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we try to get everything in order for baby #2!
Love

Wow, you have been busy lately!
We are so excited to hear about your decision for a second baby Torres! Patrick will be a wonderful big brother!! We will definitely keep you all in our prayers and hope that the process runs smoothly and quickly.
So glad to hear your AWESOME news! Congratulations! :) Keep is updated!
Oh, I'm so glad that y'all are going to go thru the daunting paperwork for another precious blessing. You are wonderful parents!
Best of luck with your efforts to adopt!
We adopted our son as a newborn through a private, domestic adoption. This second time around we're going the foster-to-adopt route and let me tell you, it ain't easy but it's rewarding knowing that we're helping keep kids safe!
Will you be trying to adopt privately this second time around?
