July Update

Boy have we been busy...so busy I haven't posted in a while. My mom asked me to PLEASE post some pics of her cutie patootie....so I am gladly fulfilling her request.

July 4th weekend we headed west to visit Matthew's oldest brother, his wife, and our 7 year old twin nephews Paul III and Harrison. While there we got to catch up with my good friend Tish, her husband Ray, and their very adorable 17 month old son - Grayson. While visiting Ray and Tish, the boys decided that it was unbearably hot in Frisco and requested a cool down - so over to the neighborhood splash pad we went.
The boys had a great time, and Tish's husband Ray was a great sport by joining in on the fun. Afterwards we had some yummy pizza and then headed over to feed the ducks. Grayson is already a pro at throwing the bread and feeding the ducks...but I think Patrick caught on quickly. Thank you Ray, Tish, and Grayson for such a wonderful afternoon. I hope we get together soon!

We had a wonderful time in Frisco visiting our family too! Patrick had so much fun with his cousins and playing with all of their cool toys. They had a wonderful inflatable water slide that Patrick ventured down once or twice with his daddy. He really enjoyed playing with all of their cars and bouncing in their inflatable jumping castle! The boys even showed Patrick how to throw down the poppers to celebrate the Fourth with some fireworks. Thanks Paul, Clanci, Paul, and Harrison for such a wonderful visit.

We have also had some of Patrick's friends over lately to play. My best friend Emily found out the hard way that wet concrete can be very slippery and ended up having knee surgery. So Patrick and I have gone to pick up her son Andrew for some playdates. Patrick and Andrew have had a blast. They shared a snowball and enjoyed playing with all of Patrick's toys.
Patrick's friend, Cooper, came over today to have some fun outside. They had a blast swinging, sliding, and playing in the sandbox.

Cooper even took a spin on Patrick's John Deere Gator.

And Patrick has learned how to swing on a big boy swing! And check out his new shoes! We can now wear New Balance shoes. We had to go to StrideRite this weekend because I noticed he had a blister on each of his pinky toes last week. I knew his shoes were OK in the length, but thought they must be a little narrow *hard to believe being he was already in an extra wide width*. So off we go to get the problem solved. While there I asked if we could just try and see if he would fit in the New Balance wide widths before purchasing a brand I had not heard of but fit him. Lo and behold they fit! So now we are sporting some very cute 992's. Patrick's response "All better." Got to love it!
