Prayers are Needed!!!!

It is less than 24 hours till the projected landfall of hurricane Gustav on my beloved home state of Louisiana. All but one of my entire side of my family is still there "riding out the storm". The only member of my family besides myself is my Uncle Bubba - who knew what he was doing by moving way on up above the Mason Dixon Line - Indiana. I have tried my best to convince my family to come to stay with us be to no avail. It is 9:30 and we are already starting to feel the effects of wind and rain 200+ miles from the coast. Our local weather lady says to prepare for what we had during Katrina - bottle water (check), ice (check), full gas tanks (check), flashlights and batteries (check), and food for everyone - including Moseley (check). So we are going to ride it out here as well....though I do remember saying if another Katrina heads our way we were heading to Hernando - not any fun for adults to sweat it out without power in the month of August in the South, much less a 2 yr old. So by Tuesday we shall know the full extent of what Gustav has to offer....and if we are without power and will be for an extended time, know that we will head north to see Aunt Mae Mae and Uncle Chuck...who knows we may even visit the panda bears again!

So please, I beg, keep South Louisiana in your prayers. They have suffered so much already (Katrina + Rita), now Gustav. But my home state is a wonderful state filled with wonderful & STRONG people. We will be back stronger than ever! And by the way GEAUX TIGERS! You see even with a hurricane knocking on our doors - we still take care of business - no matter what time of the day we play!

Love
LeAnna, Matthew, and Patrick

We have been thinking about your family, Bridget and your other friends in LA. Hope everyone is doing okay.
While we definitely would have enjoyed another visit with you all, we are so glad that things did not get so bad as to make the visit necessary.

Well Le, your hometown seems to be doing the best out of all of us. My husband and I are in a hotel in Denham because it's one of the few places that actually has electricity - gas, walmart, electricity, and lots of traffic - Denham is the place to be!

Hope everyone else is ok!!
