Soccer Game #2

So today was our second soccer game. Our first game was last weekend. Patrick's Paw Paw came all the way from Louisiana to see him play. The result - let's just say it was a tad bit cold and Patrick decided he would be the one to have the meltdown. So I grabbed one of the bags of chips that were the after game snack and headed to the van where it was much warmer. Patrick climbed into his carseat (aka the recliner) and watched his teammates run and kick the ball. I saw that it was the end and told him we had to get out and run through the tunnel and tell everyone good game. So we got out and he ran through the tunnel, collected his juice box, climbed back in the car only to remark to his Paw Paw - "Soccer was fun!" !

So soccer game take 2....much warmer today and the sun did appear for the second half of our game. Patrick did not have a melt down today, and did actually kick the ball once or twice (drastic improvement from the first game)...
...but today's laugh was when he and his girlfriend Mary took to the field together. While the game is going on all around them, Mary held to her Hello Kitty coloring pad and Patrick his water bottle. They conversed while their teammates ran all around them....see what happens when two love birds are on the same soccer team...
