Playing the field....
So on my way home tonight I called Tyler's mom to discuss a few things. While we were on the phone she informed me that apparently Patrick has two girlfriends - Lauren and Mary Everett. I chuckled and asked if Tyler came home with the recap of Patrick's timeouts mishaps for the day. Tyler is my honesty gage as he will generously recap his best bud's wrong doings to his mom everyday....what a buddy huh! Apparently Tyler was talking about girlfriends. When his mom asked him who his girlfriend was, he said "Nora." When she asked him about Lauren (apparently he was quite fond of her but has moved on), he said, "no that was Patrick's girlfriend." So Tyler's mom asked him what happened to Mary, as she knew that was the girl that had captured my son's heart, Tyler quickly said, "Oh he has two girlfriends!" I mentioned this to Patrick's afternoon teacher, Ms. Kirby. She confirmed this report. Boy oh boy....I know that we shouldn't commit too soon, but I guess his dad needs to mention the rules of at least keeping the two girls in a separate room.....
Sticky fingers....
Tonight we headed to Kroger for a little grocery shopping. Patrick loves going there because they have the buggies with the cars on the front. He was great the whole trip. We paid for our groceries and headed on our merry way. On the way out of the doors, the alarm went off. I shrugged it off because I knew I had put everything on the counter and paid. Well I unloaded the groceries and bent down to get Patrick out of his car and put him in the van. Well imagine my face as I discovered the reason why the alarm went off...Patrick had picked up a pack of Energizer AA batteries. So I gathered him up and went right back in to customer service and have him return them. He handed them over to the lady and apologized. I asked him on the way out if he knew that mom would get in big trouble for taking things that we didn't pay for....he said, " yes." I asked him, "do you know what will happend to mom?" He said "you go to timeout." I said, "no, I will go to jail which is like a big cage." He just said, "Oh."
So lessons to teach - No stealing and No two timing!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
