Day 3 of Bed Rest - and we are HOME!

We are finally home. My bleeding has turned into spotting (which is a really good sign) and the hematoma has shrunk in size compared to Sunday night when I got to the hospital. Doctor says that I can return to normal activity when my ultrasound looks normal (I read that as 'when it is all gone'). So we were discharged this morning and I am on bed rest till my next appointment on Tuesday.

We did get sneak peeks at Baby on Tuesday morning (which no cooperation was provided by s/he) and then this morning (more cooperation was provided due to me downing syrup doused pancakes before the Tech arrived!). The Tech said she believes the Doctor Sunday night to be correct but didn't want to call it completely. She said it would be best to wait till Tuesday when I have a more thorough sonogram as we were mostly looking at the hematoma this morning. But let's just say I haven't heard a doctor/tech be wrong when calling this gender! One thing is for sure - this baby is a mover and a shaker as the nurses had fits trying to keep up with him/her when checking heartbeats. I have nicknamed the baby 'squirmin wormin' from the Backyardagins.

Patrick did come see his momma last night and brought me a smoothie before heading home for the night with his dad. I sure did miss my sweet little fella.

I will keep everyone posted as to any changes...but for now it is me, the remote, Netflix, the computer and phone for at least 6 more days!
