Spring Break....

...Patrick came home last week (their Spring Break started officially on March 11th) and wanted to know where we were going for Spring Break. Matt informed him we weren't going anywhere. Patrick then said "Well you are suppose to go on vacation on Spring Break." Being that we haven't ever observed Spring Break by going somewhere, this year was not about to be the start of a new tradition. Well Patrick kept asking "Where are we going for Spring Break?" throughout the weekend. So a quick call to Maw Maw Kat and well plans were made for Patrick to go somewhere for his Spring Break. We met Maw Maw at the half way meeting point for dinner, transferred the car seat and a bag packed full of clothes for a trip to Maw Maw's and the hunting camp! Yes Patrick had requested several times to go the Maw Maw's hunting camp and well the time finally arrived for him to go. Papa loaded up the 4-wheelers on the trailer and off they headed Wednesday afternoon. Thursday morning my mom woke to find Patrick in nothing but his t-shirt, undies, and his camo rain boots sitting in the recliner with their Jack Russell Molly. He said he was being quiet so everyone could sleep late! After a yummy breakfast he got dressed, put his helmet on, and climbed up on the 4-wheeler exclaiming "Step on it Maw Maw!" and that they did...they even got stuck in a mud hole! He had a blast and really enjoyed watching his Maw Maw at target practice and helping his Papa see who had the better shot by looking through the binoculars. He loved going up in his Maw Maw's deer stand and looking at all the different animal tracks throughout the woods.

Friday afternoon we met back up at the half way point and got our Patrick back. He had a great 'vacation' on his spring break.

Today was his first game of the Spring Soccer season. This is our first year in the U6 league at our local YMCA. He had a blast and it was great seeing how much he has improved over the past year.
