First Mother's Day

I know it isn't Mother's Day today....but I haven't had a chance to post since last week and now that lil' Patrick is down for a mini nap, I have some quiet time to type away.

This past Sunday was many first for us. It was my first Mother's Day. It was our first time to go to church as a family, and Patrick's first Mass. Our church celebrated Mother's Day by having a champagne brunch for everyone. It was really nice. Patrick gave me a beautiful Motherhood pendant to wear and Matthew gave me a beautiful diamond necklace that symbolizes mother and child. I must say both of my men did well in the picking out what mom wants department! Thank you to both of you.

Also since I posted last, Patrick has had more visitors. Two of my best friends came to visit. First was Bridget and her husband John. They gave me a wonderful early Mother's Day gift - a gallon of my favorite daquiris from home and a FULL NIGHT OF SLEEP! Bridget took over mommy and daddy duty for Friday night and Matthew and I enjoyed 9 (yes count them 9!) full hours of sleep. Then today, my best friend Lori and her son were making their way from VA to our hometown and stopped on by to visit Patrick. It was really nice seeing them and it meant so much for them to drive out of their way to stop by.

Tonight my aunt is spending the night while in town for business and our two week follow up visit with our social worker is tonight as well. Then on Friday, Matthew's dad is flying in to spoil his newest grandson!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Love
LeAnna, Matthew, Baby Patrick, and Moseley
