GREEN DINOSAUR!
Since October we have been asking Patrick - "What do you want Santa to bring you?" And each and every time he said "A Dinosaur, a green one." Now we saw Santa twice - once to take pictures and then he came to visit Patrick at school. Both times he told Santa - "I want a dinosaur, a green one." So Santa listened and found him just that - A GREEN DINOSAUR.
Santa delivered Kota last night and placed him in front of our tree shortly before 11 last night. We left the lights on the tree so Santa could see while he was placing gifts under the tree. He left Kota and also brought Patrick a soccer ball (so we can get ready for Spring Soccer season), a keyboard for the computer (so he doesn't break ours) and filled his stocking with a Diego electric toothbrush (because he loves Diego and his daddy's toothbrush) and a Franklin dvd. Here is what the tree looked like after Santa left last night.
Now Patrick woke up around 1 a.m. and came to our side of the house - passing right in front of the tree and the gifts Santa left, but never said a word about it. So we put him in our bed and slept in till 7:45 the next morning. Matthew woke and got the video camera ready, and I asked Patrick one more time - "What did you ask Santa to bring you?" and he replied (kinda annoyed) "A Dinosaur, A green one, momma!" So we went into the living room to see what Santa brought and this is as far as he got....
After a few hours of watching Kota, we did finally warm up and decided to ride on him. He loves "roaring" him and the fact that Kota talks back. He likes feeding him his leaves. It is really so cute when he gives him hugs and kisses. So Santa listened. Welcome Kota to our family! Your new pal, Patrick, loves you tons!
Our household is recovering (Matt with sinus & Patrick with a stomach bug - yes right before Christmas). We enjoyed a wonderful lazy day - it was rainy and kinda cool! Patrick is waiting for his girlfriend from school to come over and exchange gifts - our last gift under the tree.

What a great Christmas post! :) So glad he is warming up to Kota.
