Missing in Action...

...well not intentionally...here is a recap as to our last week....pictures to come in upcoming post...

Let's see - Last weekend was full of fun. It all started with a call from Mary's mom wanting to know if we would like to join them for Elmo Live on Sunday. So with the purchase of three tickets we were set to attend Elmo Live on Sunday. But first we had to have our 'duck picnic' on Saturday. I chaired the event by selecting date, time, and by bringing two duck cupcake cakes. The kids had tons of fun playing on the huge playground at the local park and the parents had fun getting to know each other. Our class is made up of some wonderful kids and great parents. That afternoon was followed by a disastrous dinner due to our angel of a child turning into the opposite at an unusually packed at 5 o'clock local Italian eatery....it was really bad considering we had called Tyler's family to see if they wanted to grab a bite to eat and they invited us to meet them at said restaurant....needless to say I apologized profusely and we went home and went straight to bath and bed. Next day we finally got Patrick's room all decorated (except for few minor elements). His big boy room is sooooo cute! And hopefully one he won't out grow for a while. Sunday afternoon we supervised the date of the cute couple as they enjoyed Elmo Live. They danced and had so much fun. Definitely worth the money. And we even managed to escape without purchasing one bit of merchandise (including the $8 dollar balloon at intermission!) We came straight home, bathed and fed Patrick, and then dropped him off at Tyler's house while Matthew and I enjoyed a quite dinner at Char for our anniversary. Thank goodness for great friends!

Fast forward to today - first soccer practice of the Fall 2009 season. We are the maroon team - and it was decided we would be the DAWGS (yes Megan and Chuck your wish has come true....he is a DAWG but only for this season!). He did really well with remembering not to pick up the ball with his hands and dribbling....there is hope I guess!
