Big Boy Bedroom..

....finally decorated! Yes Patrick has been out of his crib since he was 18 months old. And yes he went from a toddler bed to a twin bed last summer so he has been in a big boy bed for awhile. And yes last August we did paint his new room and moved him down the hall to the bigger room. However, we have never truly decorated his room. So I finally bit the bullet and did it. In a little over a week thanks to the help of my husband, friends, and family, it is done. Patrick moved up from a twin to a queen bed and is enjoying his new Sports Themed Room. I am really happy with how it turned out. We are able to display pieces of Matthew's and my sports memorabilia along with sports items that Patrick is slowly acquiring - picture from his first soccer season, his first trophy from Spring Soccer Season, his very own personalized hand spun regulation Rawlings wooden bat (thanks to Maw Maw Kat and Papa). Thanks to our neighbor Misty for telling me about the metal wall sports players she had seen. Thanks to my friend Emily and brother in law Russell for the real baseball curtain tie-backs idea. It's the little details that make this a great room.
I think my husband is just overly impressed that I did it all by myself without the help of my mom. ( I typically will not hang/decorate anything without her assistance!)
