So this past weekend we took our new puppy, JuJu, to get her stitches out from her 'girlie' surgery and to get a much needed and deserved bath and hair cut. She looks and feels like a new dog (honestly Matthew didn't recognize her when he went to pick her up)! They put a cute little bandanna on her which she kept in-tack and on till Patrick and I arrived home Sunday afternoon. (We had driven down to visit my family for a quick trip!). Being that she kept her bandanna on and that she did really well on the leash when I took her for an afternoon walk, I decided it would be good for her to go with us trick-or-treating Saturday night. Now it being the week before Halloween, I figured that I would run to PetSmart and pick her up something to wear. Well I was in luck. Not only were the costumes 50% off, but I found a Peter Pan costume for her to wear! So without further ado, I present to you Captain Hook and Peter Pan!And yes, I know that Peter Pan is a boy, and well JuJu is a girl, but if my memory serves me correctly Julie Andrews did play Peter Pan on Broadway! And JuJu is what Patrick fondly calls my good friend Julie...so it is fitting that she plays Peter Pan on Halloween. Oh, and they did not have a tinkerbell outfit, I looked!
To bring everyone who is scratching there heads wondering what this new dog thing is...Matthew and I have been contemplating finding our 7 year old mini-schnauzer Moseley a child-free home for the past year. He was just not the best companion for a home with children. We were able to find him a wonderful home where he is adored as the KING of the house. God really blessed us with his new owner. We had decided that we wanted Patrick to grow up with a dog that would be his friend and companion. Well about two weeks later Matthew found an ad on CraigsList stating that a breeder had two Golden Doodles (Golden Retriever/Standard Poodle) 7 month old puppies that she was going to give away for a small adoption fee. The litter had four golden colored pups and two black ones. It seems people only wanted the 'golden' color though black is a recognized color for this gourmet breed. So we were blessed with JuJu. She is absolutely wonderful. She has the playfulness and sweet temper of the Golden Retriever and the non-shedding hypoallergnic of the poodle. After her groom, her hair is like black crushed velvet. We are so happy to have found her.
So now you are up to date on the happenings of our lives! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I am so sorry about what happened with Mosely, but it sounds like JuJu is a good fit---and so precious with her Patrick!
