Oh the weather outside is COLD!!!

Well so long are the HOT days of summer, the warm days of fall, winter has arrived in the Deep South. Yes it is burrrrrrrr COLD. Now are friends up North may call this warm, but when we have to pull out a heavy coat folks, we consider this COLD. This weekend brings even colder temps and a possibility of some possible frozen stuff (more likely sleet than anything) so we have some fun indoor activities planned and maybe some Christmas light viewing from the warmth of our van.

Speaking of lights...the other night we were riding back home from a playdate. It was late so it was already dark. Every house that had lights Patrick would yell "Stop mom" and then we would have to talk about all that he saw. So I quickly put on the emergency flashers as we crawled at a snails pace back home through our neighborhood. (Note to self, in a hurry at night take the route with the least amount of lights.) So I can't wait to take him to see all of the surrounding neighborhoods with all of the lights. It will be too cold this year to take him to the famous light display at the Canton courthouse and square as we are only going to be home one weekend before Christmas. So riding around will have to suffice.

Elf Report - Jack is doing fine. Patrick has not touched him so he has not lost his magic. Patrick keeps repeating 'He sees everything!' and loves it when I ask him in the morning "Did you see where Jack landed last night when he flew back from the North Pole?" and off he goes in search of Jack. I really love this age - the innocence and joy. I can't wait till Christmas morning when he finds out that Santa got him just what he asked for....so long as we can keep up a decent report status from Jack!

Hope everyone is enjoying the season so far - which ever holiday you observe, may it be filled with peace and happiness!
