It FINALLY happened...

Today was the first game of our Spring 2010 Soccer Season and the beginning of our third season with our wonderful teammates and Coach Steven. Well today was just like any other game we have gotten up early for, screamed and hollered, and dried tears.....that is until IT FINALLY happened...HE SCORED A GOAL! Yes - our son Patrick scored his first goal unassisted TODAY! Now we do not have any glamorous pictures capturing the moment as we were too busy hollering 'go patrick' and in awe. However, one of the moms did capture his drive towards the goal! {thanks Cindy}

After scoring he turns around smiles, runs over to us, gives us each a high-5, and then sits down in his chair saying "I need to sit now." Guess he figured his job was done for the day!

We are the Golden Eagles this year! We layered up and went to the game in our tennis shoes as his cleats from last season that fit a week ago no longer do. So we got to rectify that soon.

We are enjoying our wonderful sunshine and spring like temperatures! Tomorrow we are taking him to see a professional soccer game thanks to our friends, The Donaldsons, who were able to score some sweet tickets and passes. It is Chicago vs FC Dallas!

Agggh....spring has finally sprung!
