It's time for some MLS - Major League Soccer!

Our friends, the Donaldsons, were so gracious as to score some sweet tickets and parking passes. They were even able to get us on the field at the end for autographs...but I am jumping ahead of myself....

Today we went took Patrick to his first professional sporting event (other than the rodeo) - an exhibition MLS game - Chicago Fire vs FC Dallas. Now Chicago Fire has been coming to a town nearby for exhibition games for the past few years and today was our first time to go. Patrick's best buds were there too - Austin and Tyler. I am so glad we brought our soccer balls because Austin and Patrick mostly played while Tyler intently watched. However, before the game began all three of the musketeers intently watched as the players warmed up.
It was a great game. Chicago Fire (the local favorite) won 3-0. Though Patrick had to go to the truck before the game was over (no nap = not great attitude) I was able to stay till the end and get his Chicago Fire soccer ball (thanks to his daddy) signed by most of the players on the team. It was a wonderful sunny afternoon. We are so thankful that we had such good friends to spend it with. Thanks again Steven, Lindsey, and Austin. We had a blast!
