HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATRICK!

I can't believe it. Seriously, where has time gone? Where has the last 4 years gone? I mean it was four years ago today that we were hopping a plane to fly cross country to meet our son. The one that God chose for us...Matthew and I. The one that another mother unselfishly chose to bless me with being a mother. The son who has lit my face from the time I saw his precious face soundly sleeping in the hospital bassinet. The son who it is hard remembering our lives without. Yes, OUR SON TURNS 4 TODAY!

So if you would like a trip down memory lane...here is where we were four years ago today....three years ago today...two years ago today...and one year ago today.

But our dear son....here is where you are today...still expanding our absolute awe in your every growing knowledge of the world. You LOVE (which is a huge understatement) the Marvel Superheros...all of them...yet Disney is not far behind. You love watching Peter Pan and The Return of Peter Pan (how you don't have the lines memorized is beyond your dad and I), Beauty and the Beast (your a fan of the Beast)...the Little Mermaid (you crack us up every time you see the mean octopus lady)...and the Incredibles are right up there with movies we should know the lines to by heart. You enjoy us reading super hero books to you at night. You just finished up your third season of soccer and about to begin your first season of t-ball. You have mastered the ability to pedal - which is why you love your bike and big wheel. Your best friend is still Tyler and your heart still belongs to Mary Everett.

You love to eat...and your favorite is pizza, fruit bars (kashi cereal brand), will drink just about anything (you're not a fan of carbonated drinks), still on soy milk, and not too picky once you try something! You have been fairly well this year with no major sicknesses to report. Both of your tubes have fallen out and you haven't had any repeat infections. Your curls still abound and those blue eyes are now more like green. You can crack a funny face at the bat of an eye.You are a true joy to our lives and to all who come in contact with you.

Happy birthday dear son! We hope you have a wonderful day!
