William Update and Our Other Funny Boy....

Patrick's school sends home a calendar each month that shows the hot lunch menu. Based upon my child's likes and dislikes, I go through the calendar and mark 'C' on the days I know he will not eat what they are having. This let's Matt and I know which days we need to send a cold lunch. Well today's menu was Red Beans & Rice, Corn, and Mixed Fruit Cup. I took a chance knowing that my boy can put down a big ol' plate of rice and beans (white or red). His teacher let me know at lunch that he loved it and also about the conversation they had discussing today's lunch. It went something along the lines of this according to his teacher...

Patrick - "What's this?"
Mrs. M - "Red Beans & Rice"
Patrick - "It is so good, but I've had better!"

I told her she could blame that on his momma's side of the family - I mean what person who was raised in South Louisiana doesn't know how to cook a pot of red beans!

Now on to our other son - William Thomas.

We went for our check-up with Dr. C today. Can you believe it's been three weeks! Today's visit involved my 1 hour glucose test (which I failed), a check up with Dr. C, and our 4D sonogram! Dr. C said she wants me to do the 3 hour glucose test before I come back in two weeks. Other than that all looked and sounded good. We saw her before our 4D sonogram, so she asked me to have the sono tech take a look at the hematoma while we were checking our little one's precious facial features. Good news - she couldn't find anything to measure - according to her it was gone!!!! WooHOO! Now on the the more exciting part of our visit today - William. He cooperated so we were able to get some great shots of his face....and his lovely little lips and chin! Enjoy! We go back in two weeks for our next visit with Dr. C and for a sonogram to check his measurements. In the meantime I am to have my 3 hour glucose test....so I am planning on laying off the sweets and carbs and drinking plenty of water...all in hopes that come Thursday morning it will be smooth sailing from here!

Thanks for checking in!
