William - 4 month check up....

Today we went and saw Dr. Craig for William's four month check-up. I must say that as much as I don't like to going to the doctor, I really enjoy our visits with Dr. Craig. He is so patient and kind. Today was no exception. William was all happy till the very end. He didn't even mind getting undressed and staying that way till Dr. Craig came (note to self...bring blanket next time!).

William checked out PERFECT in every category. He weighed 17 pounds and is 26 inches tall. That is a gain of almost 4 pounds and 3 inches of growth since our two-month check-up! He is only a half pound less and 3/4 inch shorter than his big brother was at his four month check-up.


We discussed switching him off of his high dollar formula, but have decided to hold off until 6 months and let him get through his transition to baby food. We didn't want to throw into the mix a new formula and him have problems and not be able to pin point it to the food or his new formula. So it was just our luck they received a new shipment of formula samples and Dr. Craig loaded us up with enough to get through at least one week.

Here are a few tad bits of William and what he is up to lately -

STILL NOT SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT! (yes, I feel better now that I got that off my chest!) Loves to SMILE! Loves to SPIT (make razzies!)! Can roll over from his tummy to his back and can just about go from his back to his stomach. Had his first bowl of cereal using a spoon tonight - and did really well! Still on reflux medicine (we are upping his dose to 27.5 mgs of Prevacid). Still has the most beautiful blue eyes. Has rolls upon rolls on his cute little thighs. Is the best little brother in the whole wide world! Does not live by a schedule! Is a cat napper! Loves to take his sweet precious time eating a bottle....sometimes over an hour! Is the joy of our lives! Addicted to Mylicon. In the midst of teething and loves seeing how much of his fist he can get in his mouth - though no signs of teeth budding. Can go from a cry to a laugh in one second flat. Has the biggest toothless grin that will light up anyone's world!
