So he's a DUCK....

So reality finally set in today. Today Matthew and I went to Patrick's new school and met his wonderful teacher and teacher's assistant. Today was for the parents. Monday Patrick will go to a 'Tea Party' to see his new room, meet his teachers and his new classmates. We were super bummed when we found out Lauren didn't make it on our class list. He will see her on the playground and I am sure in the afterschool program. It was a little overwhelming to be honest. Thank goodness we both went because there was no way I could have filled out forms and taken in all the information his teacher was saying. We are really excited about the school year and feel really good about the decision we made.

So this afternoon when I picked Patrick up from school I gave him the wonderful news that he is a DUCK! He is in the Duck Room (each room is an animal - makes it easier for the kids to remember which room they are in if they have a memory lapse of their teacher's name). His teacher is Mrs. Ashley and his teacher's assistant is Mrs. Susan. We look forward to our little duckling waddling on to his first full day at school on Tuesday. Here's hoping that Mom and Dad can survive it too!
