And it has begun...

....he has already started being the big protective brother!

Background - Patrick is almost 2 years older than his cousin, Ben. So being the case, when Patrick "outgrows" his toys and clothes they head down south to my sister's house. Well things have come full circle. My sister Angela, my niece Katherine, and my nephew Ben, all came up on Sunday to help us out around the house and give Matthew some relief from Mr. Mom and Dad duties. Well Ben has "outgrown" the baby toys so my sister boxed them up and brought them with her. (Which Ben is NOT happy about!)

Fast forward to this morning....Ben has gotten out some of the 'baby' toys and playing with them in the living room. Patrick immediately runs to my sister and says "Nana, Ben is playing with the baby's toys!" My sister explains it's O.K. for him to play with them. Patrick then pleads, "But Nana they are the BABY'S toys!" Once again, Angela explains it's O.K. Patrick then finds me and says "Momma, Ben is playing with the baby's toys." He is clearly upset that someone is playing with his baby brother's toys. I explain "Buddy, it's O.K. William isn't even here yet so I think he won't mind if Ben plays with them a little longer." He turns away not very happy about the situation, but moves on.


I sure hope that he is protective of his baby brother when he gets here as he is now.
