Weekly Baby William Update - Bedrest Week 5

Well this week has been full of pictures - pictures of Baby William that is.

Yesterday we had a visit with a good friend who is a pediatric cardiologist. She performed an echo sonogram on Baby William just to make sure his heart was coming along nicely. Though nothing has been detected as being wrong so far in his weekly picture sessions, this was just precautionary to give everyone a peace of mind since heart conditions are known on my side of the family. The report yesterday according to Dr. S - "His heart is beautiful! No leaks. No holes. Just perfect!" So we were blessed once again with a great report.

Today was our weekly get together with Dr. C and our wonderful sono tech Mrs. S. William was actually sleeping today and didn't move around as much as he had in the past. Being that it was almost two hours after lunch I wasn't very surprised. He looked great...still measuring a week ahead of schedule and growing right along. The hematoma has shrunk some (almost 2 cm). It started out about 11.3 cm and is now down to less than 7.5 cm. I am still on house arrest. This weeks 'get out jail card' will be used to get my haircut - which is three weeks over do! We go back next Wednesday for our next appointment and photo session.

Till then - feet are propped up and life is good!
