Weekend Wrap-Up

Well we went from warm temperatures to cool this weekend...which explains how we went from playing in the pool on Saturday afternoon to staying inside for a playdate on Sunday. Here is our weekend wrap-up....

Saturday - We ventured out to test out Matthew's new camera lens that he received for his birthday/father's day and so he could try out some of his new skills that he acquired while taking his photography class last month. We headed out to my old stomping grounds - Millsaps College. I put Patrick in a cute little outfit (shirt courtesy of BallpointDesigns) and we headed off to 'mommy's school'. We had a lot of fun...the campus was empty due to graduation being held the weekend before. It misted rain, but overall we had a great time. Here is a picture of Patrick on the famous 'M' bench. For all of the Millsaps Major Alumns...you know what the significance of that is......
and here is one of us splashing our feet in the fountain by the Student Center and the Athletic Complex....

Later after our afternoon naps, we invited our friends, Emily, John, and Patrick's bud, Andrew, over to splash with us in our neighborhood pool. The water was a little chilly, but the kids had a blast...Sunday - We awoke to slow rain and COOOOOOLLLL temperatures....Matthew and Patrick headed out for some doughnuts and surprised me with a sleep in and breakfast in bed. We all played the lazy card and eventually rolled out of bed around 10. We then headed to Target followed by lunch and a nap...which was so refreshing with it being so yucky outside. We awoke to a call saying that Mary was on her way to come visit. Now Mary has been on vacation with her other boyfriend Austin and was missing her Patrick so we were very happy to see her. As you can see the two lovebirds had a lot of fun playing and watching tv.....

We finished off the evening by joining Mary and her parents (Lee Anne and Ward) at Back Yard Burger where the kids played till their hearts were content in the big tree house and the parents enjoyed some adult conversation and peaceful dinner.
