Mommy got put in timeout!

So boys will be boys and well our little spitfire/angel is no different. We have acquired a taste for 'potty words'. These include Poopoo, PooPoo head, Stupid (got to love the influence of peers), booty, and booty head. So we are working on these. We have encouraged him to say "I need to go to the bathroom." and to refer to "our booty" as "our bottom". We have gotten in trouble for using 'potty words' at school - so much that we have had more than one visit to the Dean's office in the last month or so.

So on Sunday night I was giving Patrick a bath and I said "Buddy, swim on your tummy so I can clean your booty." He immediately responded "That is a potty word and you are suppose to say 'Bottom'. When you get me out, dried off, and dressed you have to go to time out." So after bath time, he lead me by the hand to his time out chair where I had to stay for 10 minutes.

Now only if he would apply these principles at school maybe we could stay out of the Dean's office!

And yes I am well aware that there are far worse things this child could be saying...but I think it boils down to the principle of the matter and that he calls kids in his class this...so it is more of a respect thing.
