Today is such a beautiful day. Not too hot, a little windy, and ALOT of Sunshine! We went to Mass this moring with Matt's brother Malcolm (who is also Patrick's Godfather) and our friends John and Emily. We then went to eat Easter Lunch. Well since Mass ran a little long and we didn't get out till Noon, we just ate a quick lunch buffet style. After all parting ways, Matthew and I headed to Wal-mart for the weekly shopping. I was able to find some cute little socks to match Patrick's sailor outfit and gowns we bought yesterday, but I am still looking for the elusive thin dressy boy socks - my friend Heather C. would refer to them as his church socks. Apparently since Easter is here they are out because everyone had to have them for their child's Easter outfit. So I am hoping that the stores will get a new shipment in soon. My sister said she doesn't think that they make those kind for boys. I told her I was looking for the thin white socks that have ruffles on them minus the ruffles. I know they have got to have these somewhere! So once I find those I think we will be set for the call - well Patrick will be. I haven't even begun to think about Matthew and I. I think it would be best to type a reminder list of what we need to grab as we hurriedly run out the door to the airport and a packing list for us. I think that will help me feel a little organized. Matthew said that he has this uneasiness over the whole situation because at any minute one simple ring of the telephone will cause 100% Chaos! Welcome to Parenthood!

Hello Matthew and LeAnna:
LeAnna doesn't know me but I'm an old friend of Malcolm's. Congrats on your new baby! I work at the Gladney Center for Adoption in Fort Worth as a fundraiser. So I get to see miracles every day.
I loved what you did to Malcolm's house and car.
Best wishes on becoming new parents! I look forward to more news when I check back here again soon.
Brian
Thanks Brian!
Good to hear from you; I had no idea that you worked for an adoption agency.
We did do a good job on Malcolm's house and car. I might make it a yearly thing from now on :-)
We're very excited, though! Keep checking back for updates, there should be plenty of them once we get the call from Utah.

Matthew:
Good to hear from you. Poor Patrick has to have Malcolm as a Godfather! Some advice: Keep him away from Malcolm as much as possible. :) On his birthday, I left a message on Malcolm's voicemail. Of course, he didn't return my call until weeks later.
I can't wait to hear once everything is finalized. I know you guys will make great parents.
Let me know when you guys want to adopt again and I will hook you up with the wonderful people here at Gladney. You can check out our website at www.gladney.org.
Keep on messing with Malcolm! I only wish I could have been there to participate in it. Can't believe he shaved his head!
