Whew what a whirlwind!!!

So we started out early this morning....destination Babies R US - task: Change all yellow and pink to BLUE! We bought some things for the trip as well. Patrick is going to look so cute in these little outfits! We bought two gowns for him - both blue! One says "Here comes trouble" and the other says "Thank Heaven for Little Boys!". Of course he must be stylin so we purchased a three pack of matching bibs to coordinate with the gowns. The say "Thank Heaven for Little Boys", "Little Cute One" and my favorite - "I love Mommy". Then to top the outfit off we got a warming cap that matches both that says "Little Cutie". Well we were almost out of the store when we spotted this cute little navy and white outfit with sail boats....with a matching cap....so we bought that too!

Next stop - Exchange plain white day gown for dressy blue outfit for hospital pictures. Check!
Then off to Target we go to register there....we are lucky to have Babies R Us and Target, but most of our family and friends are not so we picked Target as second registry. It didn't take long there because we just regitered for some smaller things due to the big basics being covered at Babies R Us.

Next stop - Diaper Bag Purchase. I have had my eye on this Vera Bradley bag for sometime now (even before we decided to expand from two to three member family). So we stopped and purchased the Apple Green Villager. I am glad we did because this pattern is being retired in June (much to my amazement!).

Then we took a break and had lunch. Whew what a morning! Ok, lunch is done...now more shopping! We went to the mall and purchased a necklace with a pendant on it for Jane. It is the outline of a three leaf clover (shamrock). Each clover represents someone (Patrick, Jane, Us). We thought that the symbol would be something that would have special meaning to her yet was simple. So it is white gold along with the chain. It is supposed to be here Wednesday afternoon, but if we aren't then they are going to overnight it to us in UT.

Then we were off to Barnes N Noble...got to get to reading up on how best to handle the first year. We got "What to Expect during the First Year", "Your Child's Health" (this will come in handy so we can decide what to freak out about and what is OK.), "On Becoming Baby Wise", "The Everything Father's First Year Book" and we couldn't leave Patrick out so we purchased Jamie Lee Curtis' book "Tell me about the night I was born." So now that we have somewhat of an instructional guide to refer to, we headed off for one more place.

I got something for the diaper bag and then we were done. Matthew was a great sport about the whole day! We went everywhere I wanted to go today and had so much fun. Now I feel a little bit better prepared.

Upon arrival Matthew crashed and I began to go through today's purchases, wash Patrick's new clothes and pack his bag.

All in all it was a very productive day! We are anxiously awaiting the call to leave, but are slowly trying to prepare!

Thanks to everyone for your emails, comments posted, and phone calls!

Love
LeAnna, Matthew, Baby Patrick, and Moseley
