...or at least we are hoping we don't have 20 more weeks to go!! Spring is definitely here and the warm weather is absolutely fabulous....now only if June 1st will hurry up and arrive so I can wear my open toe shoes to work! Matthew and I are enjoying the end of March Madness....our Tigers are in the Final Four....and hopefully the Championship. Geaux Tigers. No word from UT lately. We are hanging in there. I bought the cutest bib the other day for the baby. It says "I was worth the wait!" and he/she will definitely be that! Our neighbor down the street had a garage sale so I picked up a cute toy for the nursery today.
This week was a sad week for us though. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tamara and her family. Tamara and her husband Chris are from the same town as us and adopted baby Patrick last March 2005 using the same agency we are using. Tamara and I have talked and she has provided great support throughout our process. Tamara's husband was killed a week ago today in Afghanistan fighting for our freedom. He was laid to rest this afternoon. From all that I have read, Christopher was an upstanding son, husband, father, and friend and above all soldier. Please keep those fighting for our country and their families in your prayers. They are giving their lives so that we may be free. Thank you Christopher!
