3 Year Weigh In

So today we ventured over to see Dr. Craig to see just how we were doing....and as the good ol' doc said "He sure is going to be a big ol' fella!" Our big boy was just that. We weighed in at a whopping 38 lbs 6 oz (95th percentile) and was 39 1/2 inches tall (90%)....and let me tell you he was such a trooper as we had to have blood drawn for a CBC, fasting glucose and lipid profile. He didn't flinch, not one tear, and even let them do it again when we discovered we didn't get enough for the lipid profile (his finger started clotting the first time and we thought we had enough...but guess not). Yes our boy was soooo good today. He got rewarded with three snoopy bandaids (one for each finger prick and one for his skinned up knee from his birthday party), a really big spider man sticker, two other small stickers and a lollipop.

We did have one issue that showed up in our urinalysis - high level of protien. Dr. Craig sent us home with another cup to catch a first thing in the morning sample to have it retested...and if there is still a high level then we will figure out a game plan to get to the bottom of the matter. I just hope it was a fluke and that we don't have a new issue showing up. If we do, we will manage...it could be a lot worse!

Thanks for checking in....this weekend is full of birthday parties - two for Patrick's classmates and his daddy's is on Sunday! (Matthew is dying to know what we got him and it is killing him that we will actually be able to surprise him for once! )
