Birthday Wrap Up!

WE ARE BOUNCING WITH JOY AND JUMPING WITH GLEE
PATRICK AND MARY EVERETT

ARE TURNING THREE!

So the festivities began on Friday. Patrick brought a dozen SuperMan Blue cupcakes to school to celebrate his day. We did this a day early for two reasons - 1. He shares his birthday with a girl in his class and I wanted them to each have their own day and I figured they would bring cupcakes on Monday. 2. Matthew was off today from work - state holiday - and they planned on spending it together (key word was planning on...I digress). So after an afternoon filled with tons of sugar and blue icing...we decided to give Patrick his gift from us - a big boy bike and helmet. He loved the bike but not the fact that you have to pedal to make it go...guess this is the newest skill we will be mastering this summer. After opening his gift and his mom and dad trying to show him how to pedal, we had dinner at home and then went and picked up Patrick's Papa T (Matthew's dad) from the airport. He flew in just for Patrick's birthday party!

Saturday - We all wake up and start getting things ready for the big PARTY that afternoon. Matthew, Patrick, Papa T, and Parrain (Matthew's older brother Malcolm who is Patrick's Godfather) head out for breakfast and some bonding time at a local coffee shop, then a little shopping for Patrick's birthday gift from his Papa T, Mimi, and Parrain. Meanwhile, Mom is at home trying to get the house picked up and get things all organized to bring to the party. 2:00 arrives and I wake Patrick up from a nap so that we can get dressed and on the road to the party. We arrived at Pump It Up where Patrick's PawPaw (LeAnna's dad), Nana (LeAnna's sister and Patrick's Godmother), cousins Katherine and Ben had just pulled in from their trip from Louisiana.

Well folks from 2:30-4:30 it was pure FUN! Patrick had a joint birthday party with his sweetheart Mary Everett. Their birthdays are only about two weeks apart so we thought it would be nice to have a joint party since we would be inviting the same kids. The result was TONS of jumping, bouncing, sliding, and all out FUN! Patrick was sweating so much he looked like he had just stepped out of a shower! Mary had a blast too! Their matching shirts that Robin Ball with BallpointDesigns made for us were a huge hit. Everyone wanted to know where we got them. Finally after an hour and half of jumping and bouncing around, we entered the party room where their wonderful cake from Dream Cakes was waiting for everyone to cut into. The cake was super cute and VERY tasty. After singing happy birthday and blowing out the candles, it was time to open the presents. Boy oh Boy did they rack up. Everyone was so generous.
After the party we went out to eat with our family that had come into town. We didn't make it through the dinner without three kids who were about to fall asleep. Matthew and I volunteered to bring them home so everyone could finish enjoying the yummy meal. We got everyone home, bathed and to bed.

Matthew's dad left bright and early the next morning heading back to Savannah. My dad and sister, along with my niece and nephew stayed till later that afternoon. We had such a great visit with everyone and had so much fun.

Thank you to everyone who came to the party (from near and far). We had a blast and hope you did too!

Love,
LeAnna, Matthew, and Patrick
