A NOTE TO OUR DEAR SON PATRICK...

...your mom and dad can't believe three years have already come and gone. We thought it would be nice to let you know what you are up to these days...

...your mom's dream of having you potty trained came true! In true Patrick fashion you decided to accomplish it right before your birthday. (You decided to sleep through the night four days before your mom had to go back to work....it was if you knew.) We are super proud of you as you proudly wear your Spiderman undies all day and night. You love to let us know everyday when you wake up and when we pick you up from school that you didn't have any accidents.

...you now are in 5T or Youth XS shirts and 4T shorts. You wear a 10 W or XW shoe (depends on the shoe). You are already eating mom and dad out of house and home...there really isn't a food you don't like. You are not fans of carbonated drinks (which is just fine with your mom and dad). You started drinking cow's milk again and it doesn't seem to cause you tummy problems anymore. You still have to take your reflux medicine...but besides that you are a healthy kid.

...you talk up a storm and love to make up your own silly language and songs. You can hold a conversation very well...it is almost like talking to a mini adult. You crack us up with the sayings that you come up with. Your latest "You better believe it!" You are starting to master your manners and finally getting the hang of yes ma'am and yes sir - just like a true southern gentleman should.

...you love playing with your friends from school. Your current buds are Tyler, Austin, Wesley, Nora, Isabella, and your sweet heart Mary Everett. You win the heart of all who are around you.

...We can't go down the aisle at any store without anyone commenting on how beautiful your curls are. You are finally getting the hang of getting your haircut and not being a squirmy wormy...you know immediately when it is over you get to pick out a lollipop from Mrs Anne's cabinet.

...you love lollipops, which mom and dad are sure to have handy to keep things quiet during church.

...you love watching your shows. You and your dad love to eat an afternoon snack and watch Tom and Jerry. You like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins, Handy Manny, Sid the Science Kid, Word World (which you love to say because you think it sounds funny), and Super Why.

...you are super smart...you now know the alphabet, the sounds the letters make, can recognize some letters, know how to draw a circle and a square. You know all of your shapes, colors, and can count up to 20. You know the pledge of allegiance, your blessing at mealtime, your night time prayers, and so much more. You have an imaginary friend who you call baby but have told us his name is Twardin and that Twardin has a girlfriend named Patton. You have a very bright imagination.

We are so proud of the little man you are becoming. You brighten our days and we couldn't imagine our lives without you. You are truly our little blessing sent down from Heaven. May the next year be full of just as much joy and happiness as you have brought us and all who have ever met you this year.

Love
Your mom and dad

Aww, what a great way record all these awesome memories and funny quirks these kids have. :) One day, I'm gonna turn my blog into a huge coffee table book w/blurb.com. Worth the $$ for sure.
